Jeff Goldstein is a founding member and president of the Lung Transplant Foundation and has served the organization as fundraising director, vice president, and president elect. He is also a former board member of The Transplant Foundation in Miami. Mr. Goldstein has been a patient representative at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s Division of Intramural Research Clinical Trial Design for Diagnostic Genomic Testing in Organ Transplantation: From Bench-to-Bedside, and was a panelist for the FDA-sponsored Public Meeting on Patient-Focused Drug Development for Patients Who Have Received a Transplant. He is a council member of the American Thoracic Society Public Advisory Roundtable, a consumer reviewer for the Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program of the Department of Defense’s Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, a member of the United Network of Organ Sharing’s Heart and Lung Subcommittee, and a Donate Life Ambassador. Mr. Goldstein was diagnosed with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis and received a double lung transplant in 2003.
