Isabelle Lousada founded the Amyloidosis Research Consortium in 2015 and is an AL amyloidosis patient. Ms. Lousada is an experienced nonprofit board director and pioneer in patient advocacy. She has designed and led innovative global programs—connecting doctors, researchers, patients, and international corporations to build meaningful communities. Over the past two decades, her work has led to positive outcomes for patients, families, and the wider medical community. As an amyloidosis survivor, she possesses a deep degree of empathy for those directly affected by the disease as well as those dedicated to finding a cure. Her training as an architect influences all her work, from vision to team building and execution.
